Australian designer behind an upcycled sheepskin accessories line
ACCESSORIES DESIGNER FASHION DESIGNER
Australian fashion designer Maria moved to Paris to study at Mod’Art International, going on to work for t-shirt brand Majestic Filatures and luxury fur specialist Inès & Maréchal. It was here that she woke up to the waste inherent in the fashion industry and began upcycling recovered sheepskin scraps – initially in the form of insoles: a panacea to the icy Paris winters. Her line Toasties, launched in 2016, offers a range of fun and fluffy accessories, from bike seat covers to totes.
