The Franco-Japanese duo have created the ultimate curiosity shop

French Japanophile Brigitte studied at Central Saint Martins before founding Missbibi, a brand dedicated to miniaturizing Victorian jewellery (remember that tiny shop on the Palais-Royal?). In the early 2010s, Tokyo-born Francophile Chieko began working in the Missbibi boutique, and the pair bonded over their love for one another’s culture, as well as flea markets. The result is Brigitte Tanaka, where the duo’s exquisite taste translates into repurposed fashion accessories, artisanal collaborations and one-off objects for the home.
